It’s finally here… the day that brings all of us zoo enthusiasts together! National Zoo Lovers Day, 2023! While we can’t bring you to the zoological gardens, we thought it might be fun to bring some of the animals you’d never find in a zoo to you!
The Mountain Gorilla
The Mountain Gorilla (Gorilla beringei) has thicker and longer fur than other gorillas, which allows them to live in colder temperatures.
This fascinating primate is endangered, with roughly a thousand living in the entire world.

The Great White Shark
The Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) can live up to seventy years in the ocean but has difficulty surviving in captivity.
We rely on marine biologists and oceanographers for most of what we know of this popular cartilaginous fish.
